MDG was established over 40 years ago by two sound engineers, Werner Dabringhaus and Reimund Grimm. Today it is one of the most important labels for classical music in Europe. With more than 50 new releases each year, MDG is also counted as one of the most important independents for classical music on the international market.

Our current catalogue has over 1,500 titles on CD, SACD or DVD-Audio offering a diverse range of repertoire with outstanding performances in audiophile sound quality.
